Custom Driveway Gates for New Home Construction | North Texas

North Texas New-Construction Project

Custom Driveway Gates Planned During New Home Construction

For this new-home project, we prepared the gate system early, protected the powder-coated finish during concrete work, and returned after construction to complete and test the finished entrance.

Plan before the concrete

Gate preparation started while the home was still under construction

Installing a custom automatic gate is easier to coordinate when the opening, posts, conduit, wiring routes, operator placement, and concrete work are considered early. Our team prepared the gate components before the property was finished so the entrance could be built around the final gate plan.

Powder-coated surfaces covered before concrete work

Concrete splatter can stain or damage a finished powder-coated surface. Before nearby concrete was placed, we carefully covered the finished gate components to help protect the coating from wet concrete, construction debris, and unnecessary surface damage.

Why this matters: good protection preserves the finished appearance and reduces the risk of scraping, staining, or refinishing newly fabricated gate components.

A staged process for a cleaner finished result

1. Layout and preparation

We reviewed the entrance and prepared the gate system to match the planned driveway, columns, clearances, and future operator movement.

2. Construction protection

The powder-coated parts were covered while concrete and other exterior work continued around the gate opening.

3. Final installation and testing

After the home and entrance were ready, we completed the installation, alignment, operating adjustments, and functional testing.

Finished project

Custom gates completed with the new home

Once construction was complete, the protected components were uncovered and the gate project was finished. The final entrance fits the completed property and demonstrates the value of planning automatic gates before the surrounding concrete and exterior work are finalized.

Protected through the active construction phase

The gate work remained covered while reinforcement and concrete work moved forward around the entrance. After the surrounding construction was complete, the protective material was removed for final installation and adjustment.
